Back in 1962, we unveiled our inaugural street scrambler, the CL72, marking its grand entrance. Recognizing the need for a contemporary counterpart, we present the CL500, tailor-made for present-day urban roads. Imbued with a timeless legacy, the CL500 exudes a distinctive charm and intricate craftsmanship. Boasting a 471cc twin-cylinder engine, this robust and compact chassis is designed to beckon riders to embark on thrilling adventures, customize to their liking, and relish every moment, much like its predecessor.
Our iconic style starts with the 12L fuel tank; smooth, rounded and perfectly formed, with authentic rubber knee pads for comfort. And everything that can be – engine, frame and suspension – is blacked out for sleek, minimalist looks. Rubber gaiters protect fork legs, just like back in the day. High, wide handlebars give excellent control and, in true CL tradition, mirror the evocative high-level exhaust muffler, with its distinctive drilled stainless heat shield and twin-pipe exit, that sits just right.
Minimal and Informative LCD Display

New 471cc engine with assisted slipper clutch for additional ease and safety when shifting gears.
Natural Riding Position with Flat Seat
Easier control and turning of the bike with a more upright, natural sitting position with the arms and knees placed in a stress-free position.
Higher Exhaust Placement
The exhaust pipe of the CL500 has been raised to a higher point on the bike to allow for riding through more aggressive terrain such as mudflats of through river crossings. It also adds to the whole 'scrambler' look and feel.
